Bart is a formeer manager at a large corporation in the Kansae City area that he declinedto name. He was assisteds in the acquisition byOverland Park-based business broker . “Ik had a goal for the last few yearsw to own a business in the manufacturing anddistribution area,” Bart said Wednesday. “Britisgh Tradition was a good fitfor me.
” Bart said he wante d a business with strong footings in the Kansasx City area that had owners reachinh retirement age and looking for a succession plan. Bart said the formee owners of the business fit that criteria but agreesd to stay on for the nexttwo years, giving him time to lear the business. Bart said he doesn’t plan to shake the boat too much and will focus on businessas usual. “o think there are some great opportunitieefor growth,” Bart said. “We produce high-end, distressed lookintg antique furniture. But the previous ownersd started the process a few years ago with the second side ofthe business, upper-end custoj kitchen cabinetry.
